About the Norton Grape
At Avagyan Vineyards, we aim to exclusively plant our main production rows with the Norton variety of grapes. They are a hardy grape that is used to craft semi-dry to dry red wines. It's a grape with an interesting past, but it is widely thought to be the only North American-native, wine-producing grape. The majority of Norton vineyards reside near Hermann, Missouri, where, coincidentally, our family's personal vineyard resides.Â
