Planting Day 2024

Avagyan Vineyards in St James, Missouri invites you to participate in planting our very first vines to establish our vineyard!

• Please join us any time between 10AM - 4PM CST. Whether you stay 5 mins or the whole time, we'd love to have you.

• Please carpool. Parking may be limited.

• Water, gloves, and all planting supplies/tools will be provided.

• We will have lunch served by Mo Hick's Bar-B-Que from 1-2pm. 

• Dinner will not be served, but we invite you to enjoy one of the many wonderful options in St. James.

• Dogs are not allowed as we live off a busy highway and there will be children in attendance.

After you've planted a vine, we encourage you to enjoy the town of St. James, less than 10mi from our vineyard. The St James Sip-N-Savor event (12pm-4pm) is also the same day. You can park in downtown and use the Getaway Trolley to get around. If you're visiting with kids, we highly recommend a trip down to Maramec Springs Park. The pictures don't do it justice, and the small $5 parking fee is well worth the beauty and history you'll experience! 

In the event of rain, we will send a message by 8AM the morning of if the event is cancelled.

Additional Information for Out-of-State Guests 

If you're flying in, STL is the closest airport. We recommend getting a rental car, but there is a shuttle that will bring you to the St James/Rolla area if needed. Staying somewhere in St Louis would be great so you can see the city and the famous Gateway Arch. Otherwise there are a few motels in St James, plenty of Air BNBs, and hotels in Rolla. We recommend the hotels next to the new Longhorn Steakhouse and Menards.
